The Italian market for pet products is never at a loss, this is told by the Assalco – Zoomark Report, by Assalco, the National Association between Companies for the Feeding and Care of Pets.
In 2020 it had a turnover of more than 2 billion euros (+2% compared to 2019), this is mainly because pets have become part of the family and Italians spend more and more for their feeding, care and cleaning.
So how to manage the packaging and in-line handling of these products? Very often we have to deal with plastic films or flexible packaging that, with normal suction cups or robotic grippers, would lead to occlusions and ruin the packages.
