The quality of filters is crucial for ensuring optimal and long-lasting performance in vacuum systems.

This is why Vuototecnica has recently introduced a significant innovation to its line of small in-line
filters: two new filtering cartridges that not only offer different levels of filtration but are also usable in
the presence of moisture or liquids being sucked. This is an improvement over the previous paper
cartridges in the FCL filter series.

As with the larger-sized filters, Vuototecnica has decided to expand the range of filtering cartridges for
models with threaded connections up to ½” gas, achieving significant advancements in versatility and
performance. Paper, while excellent for many applications, has obvious limitations when it comes into
contact with liquids or moisture, as it tends to saturate and lose its effectiveness.

These compact in-line filters can trap impurities and extremely fine dust with minimal impact on flow
rate. Due to their small size, they can be directly installed on the vacuum piping, close to the usage
points (such as suction cups and vacuum clamping systems), enabling segmented filtration and
enhanced visual monitoring of the plant’s suction points.

Each filter is made up of a transparent plexiglass cylindrical body, sealed with two anodized aluminum
flanges, held together by Seeger rings. The flanges, which come with either female or male threaded
connections, contain the sealing gaskets. The filter cartridge inside can be easily inspected by removing
one of the flanges.

The new filtering cartridges, available in porous polyethylene (FPL series) or stainless steel mesh (FIL
series), extend the applications of these filters, making them ideal for various uses.
